Ingrid Buendía (Texcoco, México - 1988)
I find in the modeling and roughing of materials a source of reflection on memory, time, traces and the anatomy of things that evoke the place I inhabit. From sculpture, I explore and question my present allowing me to expand my work into new territories in the haptic relationship between the vestige and the imprints of my passage through the earth, thereby transforming the immediate environment.
In the rocks I discover narratives that from their own geological load and with a decolonial look I propose to decipher imbalances derived from the anthropocene.
My work has had individual and collective presence in Japan, CDMX, State of Mexico, South Korea, UK, Prague, Texas, Serbia, Veracruz, Monterrey, Merida. I work in my own art studio 'Estudio Pyshke'. Master in the Postgraduate of Arts and Design UNAM. I was selected in the North lands creative Meet the future film festival 2021. I co-founded the magazine about Art and Science: PINGÜICA. I have taught portrait modeling at the San Carlos Academy, UNAM. I was a sculptor at the Wax Museum in Mexico City.

Encuentro en el modelado y desbastado de materiales una fuente de reflexión sobre la memoria, el tiempo, las huellas y la anatomía de las cosas que evocan al lugar que habito. Desde la escultura, exploro y cuestiono mi presente permitiendo expandir mi trabajo hacia nuevos territorios en la relación háptica entre el vestigio y las improntas de mi paso por la tierra, transformando con ello el entorno inmediato.
En las rocas descubro narrativas que desde su propia carga geológica y con una mirada decolonial planteo descifrar desequilibrios que del antropoceno se derivan.
Mi obra ha tenido presencia individual y colectiva en Japón, CDMX, Estado de México, Corea del Sur, UK, Praga, Texas, Serbia, Veracruz, Monterrey, Mérida. Trabajo en mi propio taller de arte ‘Estudio Pyshke’. Maestrante en el Posgrado de Artes y Diseño UNAM. Fui seleccionada en el North lands creative Meet the future film festival 2021. Cofundé la revista sobre Arte y Ciencia: PINGÜICA. He impartido modelado de retrato en la Academia de San Carlos, UNAM. Fui escultora del Museo de Cera de la CDMX
